Cookie policy
This page explains the cookies and similar browser storage that Glazing Experts uses. Read it alongside our privacy policy.
Cookies are small text files stored on your device. We use them, together with browser localStorage, to remember how you arrived at the site so that any enquiry you make is attributed to the correct marketing campaign.
First-party marketing attribution cookies
When you land on the site we set first-party cookies with names beginning wml_. These store marketing attribution values — campaign source, medium, term and content (UTM values) and advertising click identifiers such as Google and Meta click ids — along with the page you first arrived on. The same values are also mirrored in localStorage.
| Cookie | Purpose | Expiry |
|---|---|---|
wml_utm_source, wml_utm_medium, wml_utm_campaign, wml_utm_term, wml_utm_content | Record which campaign brought you to the site | 90 days |
wml_gclid, wml_fbc, wml_fbp and similar click ids | Attribute an enquiry to a specific ad click | 90 days |
wml_landing_url | Remember the first page you arrived on | 90 days |
These cookies are essential to how our free service is funded and measured. They do not track you across other websites.
Analytics and tag-manager cookies
We may enable a tag manager to add analytics in future. If and when that happens, it can set additional cookies — for example Google Analytics identifiers (_ga and _ga_*, typically lasting up to two years) used to measure visits anonymously. This policy will be updated to list any such cookies before they are switched on.
Managing cookies
You can delete or block cookies through your browser settings. Blocking the wml_ cookies will not stop you using the site or submitting the form, but it may mean your enquiry is not attributed to the campaign that referred you.
